We designed and built a modern, engaging digital platform for the AfriCircular Innovators Programme, an initiative supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB). The website clearly communicates what the programme is about, who it serves, and the resources it offers, while introducing circular economy concepts through an interactive, wheel-based game. The platform is fully bilingual in English and French, ensuring accessibility for a diverse, pan-African audience.

Problem Statement

The AfDB team needed a digital experience that could clearly communicate the purpose and impact of the AfriCircular Innovators Programme while also making circular economy concepts accessible and engaging to a broad audience. Traditional, text-heavy content wasn’t enough to spark curiosity or learning. They needed a visually appealing website paired with an intuitive, interactive game that could educate users in a fun, memorable way and encourage deeper engagement with the circular economy.

Solution

We translated the programme’s goals into a clear digital product strategy focused on clarity, accessibility, and engagement. We designed and developed a structured, responsive bilingual (English and French) website using simple content flows, visual storytelling, and intuitive navigation to explain the programme and its resources. Alongside this, we designed and built a wheel-based interactive game that presents circular economy concepts through exploration and play. The solution combined UX/UI design, web development, localization, and gamification to create an accessible and inclusive digital experience.

Results

The AfriCircular Innovators Programme now has a dedicated bilingual digital platform that clearly presents its mission, resources, and opportunities to both English- and French-speaking audiences. The website serves as a central hub for programme information, while the interactive game is integrated as part of the overall experience. Together, these deliverables establish a cohesive, multilingual online presence for the programme.
